Our master bathroom remodel before and after

master bathroom remodel reveal

Our master bathroom is finally done.  YOU GUYS.  The bathroom is doooooooonnnnnne. And before we proceed any deeper into the amazing glory that is our new bathroom, I’d like you all to know, *AHEM* that my husband is a saint and the lengthy duration of this remodeling process had nothing to do with him.  The epic-ness of tearing out an entire bathroom to the studs while living in the room next door is, well, a thing.  A complicated thing.  Especially…

Our master bathroom remodel before photos

before master bathroom remodel

Our master bathroom (and bedroom) were pretty bad when we first bought our house.  And while I know you’ve been waiting for photos of the master bathroom remodel final reveal for oh, about a month, I HAD to show you the Nightmare on Elm Street the master bathroom was originally. I dug through some horrid old photos, with resolutions you’d expect from a digital camera in 2003.  My 13-year-old’s throwaway cell phone takes better photos than our super expensive camera…

This master bathroom remodel project has officially become epic. Not epic as in: that wave was so epic!  Let’s paddle out for another one! Epic like: this project is so epically dragged out somebody’s gonna get all face stabbed up in hurr. Our master bathroom remodel take 2

Our master bathroom has, for the last 5 months, been a sea of insulation and drywall dust, host to a sea of random construction guys streaming in and out at all hours, ladders and buckets and 30 gallon garbage cans strewn about with an odd assortment of tools landing on my bedroom floor.  It hasn’t been the most fun ever in MY! WHOLE! LIFE! but at the same time, it’s kind of awesome to finally be able to do a…

Our master bathroom remodel part I

master bathroom remodel

Our master bathroom is kind of a nightmare.  Was kind of a nightmare I mean, right before we ripped it all out. It all started when we bought our house, almost ten years ago.  The master bathroom and (attached) walk-in closet were part of the reason we loved the house; the jetted tub was my closer.  What we didn’t notice, or know to notice, was all the water damage in the bathroom. The floor next to the bath was so…

Tutorial chalk paint organizers DIY

DIY chalk paint organizers A DIY Tutorial for chalk paint organizers, yes? YesYES.

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m a craft-aholic. I’m constantly accumulating craft supplies or little trinkets that I think could have great crafting potential and DIY tutorial potential (hello bottle caps, corks, and old sweaters). I store my craft supplies on a book shelf in my bedroom, and what were once five nicely organized shelves of a few pieces of fabric, a couple spools of thread, and a craft book or two has become a monstrosity of felt, sequins, jars, scissors, buttons, paints, brushes, bottle caps, and any other craft supplies you could possibly think of.

Well, it’s time for the madness to stop! I need some order in my craft bookshelf, and I’m sharing with you one of the tutorials of solutions I have come up with to help organize the chaos, and of course it is in on par with most of my other projects: up-cycling every day items you already have laying around the house!

SUPPLIES FOR DIY CHALK PAINT JAR ORGANIZERS TUTORIAL:

  • glass jars, rinsed, dried, and labels removed
  • white spray paint or primer
  • chalkboard paint
  • masking tape
  • foam brushes
  • acrylic paint
  • chalk >> Read More
