If you live in America, or are celebrating American Independence Day, there are a million and one fun things to do.  In fact, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday of the year.

It’s hot outside {hooray, hooray!}, the freezer is stocked to the brim with popcicles and creamies, there are cold drinks in the fridge, the kids are running rampant around the neighborhood, and more often than not you can find me at the neighborhood pool.

Is there any better time of year?  Not at my house.

So according to me, the 4th is the best, the best in the West.  I’ve been really busy with this and that, but I’m going to spend the weekend gathering up fireworks and food to celebrate.  These are some of my favorite things to make for to celebrate the 4th of July.

Have an amazing weekend!
