I think the Masterpiece Theater version of Sense and Sensibility might just be my favorite out of all the Sense & Sensibilities out there. Happy for me {and you, really} the 1st installment is on PBS tonight, with the 2nd half airing next Sunday. Tune in, even if you’re not an Austen fan, you don’t want to miss it. Check your local listings here. {via PBS/Masterpiece Theater}.

I’m still here. Barely. There was so much to-do-ing about Christmas this year that I’m taking a little bit of time to just relax and enjoy the holiday. My kids are still out of school, and my husband {miracle of miracles!} is still off work, so we are just hanging out doing puzzles, sledding, drinking hot cocoa, sledding, eating leftover sweets, skiing, sledding, and watching a lot of good movies. Speaking of which, P went to see Bedtime Stories {love,…

I’m totally excited about this one because I have a 9-year-old who inhales books; I just can’t keep her book lust satiated. Excite Books is like the “Netflix of Children’s Books”. Here’s how it works: you choose a plan that works for you, starting at $4.99 a month {for one book} up to $14.99 {for three books + an educational activity}, pick a reading level that would most appeal to your child, and bing, bang, boom! you have books shipped…

p.s. the twilight soundtrack.
{image via Barnes & Noble}. I promise I won’t beat the Twilight drum all day, but I forgot to mention that I love the playlist Stephenie Meyer compiled as her idea of the movie soundtrack, it was perfect. And even though the movie soundtrack doesn’t match her playlist, it did a great job portraying the emotions of the film. So, if anyone wants to send me an iTunes gift card or the Twilight Soundtrack please feel free, Christmas is just…

Damaged Disney DVDs
This past week, I spent time in two households with kids, watching their beloved DVDs with them. Unfortunately, in both families, the kids had worn out the DVDs and certain parts of the movies simply would not play. It reminded me about Disney’s DVD replacement program. I know that I’ve mentioned it before, but that was just in passing. I figured I’d spell out all the details to you, just in case any of you are ever interested in watching…
