Let’s talk more baby stuff…

Really, who doesn’t love to gush and coo over baby things? Because, when it comes to baby things, they can never be too soft or too cute, like those found at West Coast Baby. Based in Vancouver, B.C., and founded by mommies (naturally), their designs are simple, darling, comfy, cozy, sweet. Loving everything in their collection, particularly their layette. You’ll be so happy to get your next baby shower invitation, because you’ll be dying to give something from West Coast Baby….

men’s ties.

Were any of you around when Victor wrote about Nankeen? Nankeen is this amazing company that uses ancient Chinese techniques to hand print their wares. They make the most exquisite bags and totes for women, pillows, drop bags for men, in addition to ties and scarves. Every last item in their line is unbelievable, hand dyed, and one of a kind. I love the colors as well; the indigo blue against the white makes quite an impact. Hands down my…

awesome t shirts for women.

Have you ever seen Snorg Tees? I’ve kind of had a huge crush on them for, well, it’s been a while. I would love nothing more than a closet full of these tees; they’re so tongue in cheek, witty, and flat-out snarky. But I can’t choose, I want all of them. I mean, do I go with this: Big Deal Tee $16.95 {via Snorg Tees}. Or do I profess my longtime love for John Stewart and go with this one?…

lands’ end.

You know who’s always been a part of Christmas from the time I was old enough to remember? Land’s End. Seriously, Land’s End just reminds me of Christmas: flannel nightgowns, slippers, sweaters for school, snow boots, turtlenecks. You get the idea. Maybe it’s because I grew up in Utah where it is cold, cold, cold in December, but I’ve always loved opening presents from Land’s End and knowing they’d make me a little bit cozier in the coming months. Not…

kid’s shoes.

Addison sale $25.60 {via See Kai Run}. Do you know about See Kai Run? Well I do now, now that I no longer have children to wear these scrumptious shoes. Seriously I know I beat this drum a lot but where were they when I needed them? My little C had such fat feet as a baby that nothing fit. At all. It was a good thing he liked being barefoot because I just didn’t have the heart to ram…

Pajama Party

I really have a thing for pajamas, perhaps stemming from a favorite tradition from my childhood: new PJ’s for Christmas, which we were permitted to open on Christmas Eve. I love them for myself, and I love to see my little guy all cozy in cute PJs. If you have the talents of Miss Alison here at Petit Elefant, you are probably custom making some very darling pajamas for your little ones this year. For the rest of us, I’ve…

stride rite shoes.

This is about the time of year my kids come to me for new shoes having trashed their own beyond repair grown out of their school shoes. Is your family like this? I buy great shoes for the kids in September, and by Halloween their toes are bursting out the front searching for breathing room. Dakota. $54 Girl size 6-12 {via Stride Rite}. I hadn’t experienced Stride Rite shoes until recently and I have to say, I am very impressed….
