Reuse-It Crafts!

Winter is surely dragging on, and cabin fever is setting in. And by this time, you’ve probably rounded up more one than mate-less  mitten or glove.  I noticed a couple of great ideas in a recent issue of Parents Magazine (courtesy of  my OB’s office) that solve the boredome issue and the lonely glove issue, while using other things you probably already have at home. Very cute, seemingly simple, and adaptable to many ages.  Glove Puppet Pals (click link for instructions)…

Q & A: Slings

Petit Elefant Q & A: I recently heard from a reader, “C” wondering what kind of sling to buy: “we’re just pregnant with our first and I really want to buy a sling, but there are tons of brands out there (with a ring, with a binkie pouch, minimalist, etc.) and seeing as how I’ve never used one before, I could really use some help knowing where to start!” It’s kind of daunting with all the selection out there isn’t…

cute valentine’s day breakfast ideas.

Valentine’s Day is on a Saturday this year, which may mean a little extra time in the morning to make the day a little extra special for your sweethearts. My mother always tried to do something fun for breakfast on Valentine’s Day–she even had a special toast embosser  that said “I love you” which she stamped into the bread prior to toasting. I’ve never seen another one like it… Love Toast Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, “stamp” but don’t cut…

valentine ideas.

It’s Valentine Week! My husband thinks Valentine’s is {and I quote} “a manufactured Hallmark holiday geared at forcing men to buy unnecessary trinkets to keep their women happy”, so I take care of my own needs during Valentines. And that includes doing things that are fun for myself, such as: officially declaring it to be Valentine Week on Petit Elefant. What does this mean for you?
