Thanks everyone for the kind words about Calvin yesterday. It ended up being a lovely day in its own way. My friend and her family planted a beautiful flowering Lilac tree at the cemetery next to Calvin’s headstone in the wee hours of the fading light. One year ago today I received an awful phone call, the kind of phone call that happens in movies but never in real life.
