weekly fitness tip: lay out exercise gear.

Our fit tip today comes from our very own KJ, who is the mother of a very new-ish baby and is exercising. She says: Very early mornings are usually my only chance to get in some concentrated exercise. It’s hard to get out of bed after that 5 am feeding for baby, but it helps to lay out me exercise gear at night: shoes, socks, industrial strength foundation garment, ipod, etc. in a neat stack next to the bed so…

So you know how I’m trying to eat healthier and exercise, and lose a few lbs in the process? Well, it turns out I need a little help. Somehow {magically I think}, I gained 15 pounds over the Winter. I know, right? Unbelievable. I don’t know if it was all the cupcakes {yummmmmm} or sitting at my desk for hours every day, but somehow I went from my ideal weight to….15 pounds around my middle. Blurg. Well, in addition to…

But I’m telling you right here and now, as someone who’s been exercising regularly since I was a teenager, looks can be deceiving. This little bar has been kicking my fanny around the block three times a week, for a couple of months, and boy howdy, it’s amazing. $99.95 First of all, I picked up the…

Today’s fit tip comes from reader Michelle {thank you Michelle!}. For those of you who haven’t submitted your fit tips, come on!, what are you waiting for? Here’s Michelle’s tip: Have a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, especially if you are an outdoor exerciser. weekly fitness tip: diversify your workout.

Here’s my fit tip today: DIVERSITY If you love to run, try Tae Bo. If you walk, try swimming. If you like to lift weights, try yoga. Mix it up a bit. It keeps the monotony of exercise at bay and gives your muscles a little confusion, which is a good thing, even if it doesn’t sound like it. What are YOUR fit tips? Hand ’em over ladies!
