About the Purse:
By Amy Mac Designs. Backstory: Ive never been able to pass up a charming purse, so when my babies were still babies I started designing and sewing purses (and halter tops, belts, kids clothes all sorts of stuff) and selling them at boutiques. After several successful years, I decided to end my design business to focus on other endeavors.
In reality, my kids had grown old enough where I could string together two thoughts without someone interrupting me to bust up a skirmish about Polly Pockets, so I started writing again professionally.
Fast-forward to today, and Im still carrying my designs including this perfect-for-spring concoction I couldnt bear to part with. Ive tucked back the ones I love-love, and am giving duplicates away on amymacpr.blogspot.com. this month Including one just like the one Ive featured here.
About the Stuff:
- The WalletA Kiss Clutch from Vera Bradley, its big enough to carry all the items that accumulate in a moms purse (receipts, Abercrombie gift certificates, library cards but strangely little cash ). Love it because it doubles as a clutch in a pinch.
- The Notebook & PenAs a writer, Ive noticed those genius ideas that will change the world (or at least give me a solid start on my next newspaper column) pop in my head at the most inopportune times. This is where I scribble out the ones I must remember when Im caught at a PTA meeting, in the carpool line, or waiting on a client.
- The SunglassesMy aviator Ray-Bans are the only thing that keeps me from screaming My Eyes! My Eeyyyyyeees! every time I walk outside.
- The iPhoneWhich doubles as my Kindle when I leave it at home, my camera, my alarm clock, my calendar, my entertainment (my Words With Friends user name is Amymac72 lets play!). And, oh yeah, its my phone, too.
- The Lifesaving Necessities
- Biafine. With dry skin the consistency of a stale Triscuit, my skin always needs special attention. This cleans, moisturizes, and minimizes scars.
- Victorias Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Fruit Punch. Hands-down my favorite lip gloss. Pretty, fresh color and light consistency so my lips dont stick together like Ive applied a combination of honey and glue.
- Altoidsbecause we dont want to offend the sensibilities of those who get in our personal space.
- Neutrogena Sport Wash Wipescleans up anything from a sweaty brow after an intense tennis match to a kid-instigated chocolate-pudding mishap in the backseat of the car on a road trip.
- The Big SecretSee that little metal clip? It has a magnet on the back. I carry this in my purse so I can gather up random papers that get dropped in my handbag, clip this to my fridge, and make my way through the stack when I have a few minutes. Its the only reliable way Ive discovered for retrieving those papers from the abyss of my handbag and dealing with them in a timely manner.
Thanks for featuring!
