It’s been another maddening week. I’m posting late in the day, in the middle of a hail storm of family and after-school-chaos. It’s the way it goes, I guess.
So, this week’s What’s in Your Purse Series purse is from Kristy Glass. We have yet to actually meet, but we’ve been online friends for a while. I first saw Kristy on a show called Runway Moms about modeling moms in Manhattan and I see her in ads all the time! So cool.
Here’s Kristy’s purse:

I rotate what I carry a lot…mainly between these 3. My big purse, small purse and accidental backpack.
It’s accidental because I bought it for my 72-hour kit, but after a massage one day I realized how uneven my shoulders were from carrying a purse around the city, so when I have a long day with lots of stuff, I often carry the backpack. I could use a more stylish one. I only get compliments on this backpack from tweens.
I get a lot of compliments from my peacock blue lucky brand medium purse….I have even repaired it, when the strap broke…it’s worthy.
What’s inside, the contents of my purse vary and it’s messy a lot but this is pretty much what’s in it:
- ~wallet
- ~folder with my comp cards, head-shot/resumes, kids pix, miscellaneous papers that have to do with auditioning
- ~extra shoes. I often have a pair of shoes in my bag because I don’t walk around the city with heels, especially since I broke my foot last November.
- ~fold-up headphones for each kid (to go with the iPods)
- ~crochet project
- ~kindle
- ~Lubriderm lotion (I ALWAYS have to have lotion)
- ~Kleenex (I ALWAYS have Kleenex in every bag, pocket of coats etc.)
- ~trash–usually receipts and papers from the kids that they got at church classes.
- ~iPod touches (pictured here are the cases only because the iPods are being used right now)
- ~various lip-glosses, chap-sticks, lipsticks
- ~keys (when I don’t forget them)
- ~sunglasses (mine and Lolly’s, she is VERY sensitive to the sun)
- ~iPhone
- ~fruit leathers (sometimes there are granola bars, remnants of lunch/snacks and gum
- ~reusable bag
- ~random coupons that I don’t even know why I carry because I order 97% of my groceries online, I threw them away thanks to this project.
- ~phone headset/earphones
- ~pitch pipe (this is usually accompanied by my large 2″ binder full of music that I bring to musical auditions)
- ~always like 4 or 5 pens
- ~water bottle (in the summer there are usually 2 more water bottles in there as well)
- What’s missing from this photo, but often found in my purse:
- ~tampons
- ~Sandwich in a baggy
- ~small pack of wet-wipes
- ~a post-it note with writing on it (oh wait, I think that’s in the trash pile)
- ~a nude thong
- ~pair of socks
- ~on Sundays, a little sweater because the building is always freezing
- ~An extra paper novel
- ~random crayon
- ~crumbs of all sorts
- ~change floating around
- ~USED Kleenexes
- ~change of shirt/clothes (depending on the auditions that day)
- ~almonds, Turkish apricots (my favorite snack)
- ~Sometimes I carry my laptop too (but not on the same day as the heavy music binder or a change of clothes)
- ~antibacterial gel when I can keep track of it
- ~powder compact
Thanks for playing Kristy!

If you want to have your purse featured, send me two shots of your purse: one of the outside, one of the inside, and a list of the contents. Please send nice shots, sometimes it’s hard to see what we’re all looking at. Send to allisonATpetitelefantDOTcom
Wow! That is a lot of stuff. Thanks for sharing :).
Gosh darnit, one of these days I simply have to send you photos of the interior of mine. I will warn you though, it’s a scary, messy, unorganized place. And although I still carry a diaper bag, there are no diapers in it. Go figure.
Please do! I want to see the disorganized mess, I really do.
I don’t know why I didn’t just send it to you, but for whatever reason I did this on my blog a couple of weeks ago. Of course I gave you credit for the idea! You can see it here: http://katandgray.blogspot.com/2010/08/whats-in-your-purse.html if you’d like. :) I always enjoy these posts!
I’m so glad you did one of your own!
One day while watching Eebee Baby with my daughter I could not figure out why the lady in the video was so familiar. After a quick google I found that she was Kristy Glass. I’ve never met her, but over the years I’ve seen her pop up on blogs from time to time. I love how blogging makes everyone seem like a friend.
Isn’t Kristy adorable? She’s such a great girl and has such a friendly face too!
Hey! Thanks guys! I Completeley forgot to come back and comment because a little thing called school started.
Oh eebee’s…. I hope I’m not annoying you too much! Thanks for the shout out guys! I do carry too much!!!!!
