Back when I was a good mom, I used to get gifts for my kids on Valentine’s Day. I’m a mean mom these days and I usually only spring for chocolates and a card for my kiddos come V-Day.
I have some great ideas for gifts that will make your kids go wild on Valentine’s Day. Seriously, they’ll love you forever. Unlike mine who will be in therapy for lack of toys when they get older.

I cannot even begin to describe the amount of fun my children have had ambushing me with marshmallow guns over the past month. Perfect for any child old enough to shoot marshmallows at their unsuspecting mother while she cooks dinner. Some dads {cough, cough} may get caught up in the action too.

For the Junior Scientist in your house, this slime kit could not be more perfect. This happens to fit the bill perfectly for Precocious, but Charming was equally as happy to contribute to the creation of slime. Fabulous stuff from start to finish.

I think the possibilities with this felt story business are endless. Doctor’s office visits? Long days filled with errands in the car? Road trips? It boggles my mind to think of the fun.

Wow, now i know i'm a reeeeally bad mum. I don't think i've ever given my boys something for V Day!!!(except a head full of hassles by teasing them about the girls they might like, or whom they might expect a card from!!)
Perhaps its because december/jan is a nightmare in our house. One boy's BDay is one week before xmas, and the other's is a week after xmas (really planned that with extreme precision!)so in February i'm still feeling hungover from the xmas/Bday hurdy gurdy.
I usually come good by Easter though :)

What happened to the days of Valentine's Day being about candy and valentines? When did it become a mini-Christmas? Those were the good ol' days :)
yum marshmell guns. I think I would eat the ammo
I can tell you the felt boards are great. I got them for my grandkids for Christmas. They had a 12 hour trip to Virginia after Christmas and you can bet their mom packed the boards. I am working on making some alphabet boards (I used foam sticker and put them on felt…now cutting them out) for my grandkids who love letters and trying to spell words. The four year old can spell some and the two year old sure tries!
What great finds. LOVE the marshmallow shooter!
