I’m a fan of the Oxi Clean. A big fan. It helps get stains out of everything a 5-year-old boy can possibly stain, which is to say it gets stains out of everything.
I don’t just add Oxi Clean to my laundry, I have a stain bucket in my laundry room at all times, filled with a scoop of detergent and some hot water. I just throw in whatever mess Charming has currently made out of his clothes, let it soak a day, or two, or three, until I’m fairly sure the stain is on its way out before I throw it in the laundry.
I have yet to have my laundry stain bucket fail me.
I want to know your tricks, your tips, your laundry helping ideas. We’re headed into Kindergarten in a few weeks and I have a feeling I’ll need all the laundry tips I can get.

Yes, unfortunately having a son who’s as busy as mine means everything is perpetually stained, or in the process of being stained.
You make me need a glass jar and some oxi-clean.
You NEED a glass jar with Oxi Clean, it makes laundry more fun.
Ha! I have that exact bucket in red that I use for the exact same purpose. Super-soaking my stuff in OxiClean. I also keep a spray bottle of Shout hanging on our laundry hamper so I can spray stuff before I throw it in. My laundry tends to sit for a while before I get to it.
So funny. Love it.
I should have a spray bottle next to my hamper too, so smart. Not that I ever delay laundry, *AHEM* ever.

I’m probably being completely stupid but do you fill the bucket with the one scoop of OxiClean or your normal detergent? How much hot water do you put in as well?
I put about a scoop of Oxi Clean and a little bit of laundry detergent with a ton of water. Not stupid at all.
Way late, but WHERE did you get the bucket? Love this idea. I, too, have a 5yr old who stains everything. And a 2yr old who has the same knack for stains. And no utility sink to soak in. wah!
