fun ways to fill a summer vacation.

I feel like Summer just got started, yet it’s nearing an end all too soon and I have little to show for it. No exotic vacations. No beaches. No bucket-list trips down the California coast. Seems this year we squeezed the best out of summer in small ways: sailing boats, tending our first vegetable garden, swim lessons, day trips to national parks, homemade jam, visits with grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles and cousins, small town parades, a cookout or two. Potty training, teething. Simple pleasures, small triumphs. Not too shabby, I suppose. Our summer, in pictures:
what has been the highlight of your summer? do tell!

  1. Petit Elefant :

I've done everything but sleep this Summer, there hasn't been much of that around here. ;)

  2. Rebecca is Thrilled by the Thought :

I've been so happy that my daughter is a toddler and not a baby this summer- we've played at water parks, lakes and pools, visited gardens, the zoo, and everything else under the sun. Literally- we were outside all summer long!

  3. michelledoodads :

I, too, made homeade jam, and we've already been through 3 jars (my husband LOVES it!). I feel like the summer blasted by and I worked. Sad.

Well, you did do some cool stuff, bucket list or not!

My highlight? I enjoyed BlogHer, and spending time with my dad before his shoulder replacement. :)

This summer really did fly by, huh?

And it's been a bit since I've stopped by, but I thought I'd let you know that there's a rodent in your header. Just in case you want to call an exterminator or something. ;)
