Oscars 2015 Recap

Oscars 2015 Eddie Redmayne

Oh that Eddie Redmayne at the Oscars last night. So adorable and wonderful. The navy tux (whoa, yes) and that darling genuine surprise on his face just endeared him to me even more. I confess I’ve seen only one of the films honored last night, but I can still have favorites, right?  Julianne Moore looked exquisite and genuinely happy all night long, and hooray for Birdman director, Mexico’s Alejandro Inarritu. Really, it’s wonderful. Neil Patrick Harris was charming as always. And is there anything else, really, to say about the Lady Gaga-Julie Andrews moment? Besides, well, wow! Just wow. I’ve always loved that Julie Andrews (you don’t want to know how many times I’ve seen The Sound of Music) but last night made me a fan of Lady Gaga, too.

Some favorite looks from the 2015 Oscars:

Oscars 2015 Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana in this blush color is sexy but demure. I love the lines and femininity here without being too fluffy or Barbie-like. Very, very pretty.

Julianne Moore in white–a trend on last night’s red carpet. Flattering, great texture and interest, and she just looked so happy and lovely. I love that she owns her fair skin and beautiful freckles.

Oscars 2015 Rosamund Pike

Rosamund Pike looks amazing in this red lacy sheath style gown that really accentuates her ladylike curves. Elegant and bold and just the right color of red.

And let’s not leave out the gents: Michael Keaton, Bradley Cooper, and Clint Eastwood.
