My mother recently sent to me the pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey game used for several parties in our home. (I can’t believe she saved it all these years!) It has sweet vintage appeal and has me wondering: do kids still play this game? What happened to a good old fashioned birthday party? Do little girls still wear party dresses? With theme parties all the rage, is there such a thing as a birthday party themed party? Seems such a theme couldn’t be simpler. For your enjoyment, a round up of classic birthday party ideas.

I love simple kids parties.
although i never pinned tails on donkeys, i've used variations on that game at most kids parties that i've done! we've played pin the nose on the clown, pin the wheel on the tractor, pin the butterfly on the flower, pin the pants on spongebob and pin the caterpillar on the food!
