You know how sometimes you buy yummy *lavender* bubble bath and lotion for your baby, thinking you’re really going to get something that smells like lavender? And then you open it up and use it on your wee little babe only to realize it smells like, uh, any other lotion at the store? If it doesn’t happen to you, just pretend it does so this story will work.
I’ve actually had that happen on more than one occasion and it’s pretty disappointing. Especially when I need the *calming* influences of lavender on my children. My first overwhelming reaction to opening the products from Maclaren was *ooooh it actually smells like it’s supposed to!*. Like lavender. Clean, pure, organic wholesomeness. You know you can smell the difference, can’t you? I can, and it’s lovely.
Maclaren takes their organic-ness pretty seriously. No synthetics in any of their products, at all. Which, if you’re a new mom putting lotions and potions all over your baby is a pretty big promise. You don’t want chemicals on that brand spanking new skin! Not only that, all of the packaging for Maclaren’s lovely, organic, wholesome products is made from recyclable material. Beat that.
I love all of your posts. They are everything a good post should be informative, light, and funny! I am looking at my outfit selection for the day and wishing I had a cute scarf to go with it! C
C,
Thank you, you're so sweet! Seriously, a good scarf goes a long way right?
Oh my goodness, I know exactly what you mean. I cannot stand so-called "lavender" products that smell nothing like real lavender! I love that this set comes with a turtle. :)
Lizzie,
The difference is amazing isn't it? You can almost smell the chemicals in the other stuff.
