Hello! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day. I have the quickest ever giveaway and show information for Listen To Your Mother for this week’s show in Utah.
I’ve shared on social media, but I don’t think I’ve officially shared here yet.
A handful of months ago I auditioned an original monologue to be a part of a national show called Listen To Your Mother, and I’m so happy I did because I made the cut and am performing said monologue about motherhood this Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah.

You might be asking yourself ‘What on earth is Listen To Your Mother?’ Well, I’ll tell you! The brainchild of Anne Imig, a brilliant writer + humorist, LTYM is a series of shows across America wherein original monologues about motherhood are performed. It’s not just for mothers, by mothers, it’s for everyone, by everyone, and is pretty much the coolest show of all time.
One of the women performing with me this Thursday said she thinks of LTYM like “TED talks for motherhood”, which is spot on. The stories performed are thought provoking, tearful, hilarious, and downright touching. I wept my way through our rehearsal a couple of weeks ago, and I would LOVE IT IF YOU CAME TO THE SHOW this week.
In fact, I’d love it so much I’m giving away two tickets to the show, AND a 20% discount for everyone else. So, if you’re available on Thursday night, I will totally see you there. If you’re not available, make it so immediately. I promise it’s totally worth your time and dollars.
Use the code: LTYMnut15 for 20% off each ticket you buy (there’s also a discount when you buy 5 or more tickets).
I will see you there, yes? Say ‘yes‘, pretty please. I really want to see your shining face in the audience.
To win the TWO FREE TICKETS I’m giving away, tell me the best gift you’ve ever given your mother for Mother’s Day. That’s it! Winners will be announced Thursday morning and tickets can be picked up at Will-Call at the show. Good luck! (and I’ll see you there)
My husband and kids detailed my car last year. No more french fries under the seats of this mini van!!!
I forgot to add this is what we used to do for my mom, too. That us how I knew it was what I wanted.
I was able to go home last week and help my mom out after she had knee surgery!! Happy Mother’s Day mom!!
Best gift I have gotten was my favorite box of chocolate, flowers, and a CLEAN HOUSE!!!
One year I surprised by mom with a visit for Mother’s day/her birthday which are often on the same day. I haven’t lived near her since I left for college so we only saw each other once or twice a year. I schemed with my Dad so he knew I was coming, but she didn’t. It was such a fun thing to surprise her!
One year my brothers and I each got my mom 2 dozen roses. Her living room was filled with flowers. It was so much fun!
Carly, you won!
Best present I have my mom? I was a teenager and she needed a new garbage can, so a sis of mine went in with me and we got her a new, cleaner, nicer garbage can. I have tried to make up for it since I became an adult and have gotten her many things but one of her favorites is quilt magazine subscriptions.
The best gift I’ve given my mother is a surprise home office makeover while she and my dad were on a trip. It was so much fun!
