Seven years ago today my little Miss P was not quite 2 years old. The news coverage surrounding the horrid events of the morning in New York on September 11th, 2001 were too much for me to bear while contemplating what the future might hold for my little child. I was terrified, horrified, and shattered. For myself, for the victims, for their families, for the future of my children, for the future of my country. And here we are seven years later, still here, with the world still basically a decent place.

that was SUCH a horrible, awful time. wasn’t it on a Thursday that it happened 7 years ago?? you’re right; there is still a lot of good in this world, in this country… but–being true to pessimistic tendencies :)–you have to admit that the crap is only increasing… i try to stick with Anne Frank’s view; it’s easier when i stay on the clueless side of things. :)
