I was fashionable, even then.

I’m out with a sinus infection today, and thought about not blogging at all, until Viktor showed me this.

And then I thought better of not blogging, I thought you all should know just how much I love you so I’m rewarding you with a photo of myself from when I was 3.  Maybe 4.

Ponchos were the height of fashion in the 1970’s, as were cowboy hats.  At least in my house.  And I’ve always, always loved red lipstick.  Even then.  Maybe especially then.

By the way, I’m not wearing any pants of any sort, in this photo.

I sort of lived a pants-optional life until Kindergarten when they were forced upon me.

Happy Weekend.

      Who knew, even then?

      ;)

  2. Sarah Beck :

What a great pic, you made my night. Hope you feel much better soon :)

    • Petit Elefant :

      Thanks Sarah! :)

  3. Sarah Beck :

Oh yeah, and I LOVE the harvest gold appliances!! I could probably find a picture of me, the same age, in front of a fridge that exact color.

  4. Petit Elefant :

Aren’t they gross? Who thought they were a good idea? EVER?

You remember the Avocado colored ones?

  5. Jan :

I love that you’ve paired a mustard turtleneck, cowboy hat and your mum’s high heels. Uber stylish…and I think we had the same flooring in our kitchen growing up too :)

    • Allison :

Mind you, completely naked bum underneath it all.

  6. MaryAA :

I personally think that stainless steel will be the future’s avocado or harvest gold. We’ll be asking ourselves what we were thinking in 30 years.

And I’ve got a great picture of you and your brother in Halloween costumes. You both look like giant forest animals, either squirrels or bears. You are about the same age as in this one.

    • Allison :

I think I was a bear. They were of the homemade variety and I love that photo.

  7. Marie :

Stop it! You are too cute. And I thought that was C!! He looks just like you!

    • Allison :

I know, he’s a mini me. And sometimes he wears lipstick too.
