I can’t even wait for Summer. Like, I’m already having fantasies about taking my kids to the local pool and reading magazines in the burning hot sun while I drink a cold beverage.
It doesn’t feel really close in Utah, but it’s just around the corner.
I wanted to share some of the hottest sandals out there right now for the Summer 2011. I’ll give you a big fat hint: espadrilles are everywhere.
I loved them when they were hot in the 80’s and I love them again this time around. Anyone can wear espadrilles. They give the illusion of height while allowing you to walk like a normal person.
I limited myself to my favorite 6 sandals right now, but I think I’ll have to share more as Summer draws near. I already lost half my afternoon searching for these. Eep!

I tend to stick with nice flats in the summer, but a recent spate of vanity has me wanting cute pairs of high shoes this summer! See, last year I gave birth to my daughter at the end of July, so my fat feet weren’t fitting in anything besides flip flops from May through August. Although I am pregnant with her sibling, I’m not due until October so considering I don’t start the 3rd trimester until around her birthday MAYBE I could spend my 2nd trimester looking super cute! lol I must be crazy. But I am totally embracing the maternity cuteness thing right now.
Not vanity, just plain old pregnant mama hotness. You deserve any footwear you’d like. Seriously.
I love the wedge. Love it. I would wear it every day during the summer if I didn’t have three small children.
It may not be summer in Utah yet, but it was 90 here today in Austin, TX. Summer is unfortunately not here either though, because it is going to get a heck of a lot of more hot and I will soon be ready to scream from how uncomfortable it gets.

Not in the stone age at all! It refers to the material the sandal is made of, but it can tie too!
I like all your picks, but I know that I wouldn’t wear a heel that high on a daily basis. Will you do a round up of wedge sandals that are just a smidge shorter?
