God bless melissa and doug

Their wooden toys are simple but brilliant, and appropriate for a grand span of ages.  My toddler is only two and a half, but I’ve found perfect Melissa and Doug activities for him at each phase of his development. Today I introduced a new puzzle to him–it was just challenging enough to hold his interest, yet not so challenging he became frustrated. Kept him quiet, in one place, and happy long enough for me to get dinner on the table. Amazing, really. I should buy stock.

I also love that I can find them in my small town. Robert’s Crafts is my favorite place to get them, because I can often score a 40% or 50% off coupon.  Some pieces I’m eyeing:

Hi Allison! I love Melissa & Doug puzzles too – they're the best. And I'm going to be doing a giveaway for a set of them on Vanilla Joy next week! My 2 year old loves puzzles also – I think that means he's going to be super smart!

Ah Melissa & Doug, a soft spot in my heart indeed.

We have the geometric stacker – LOVE IT! My almost 2 year old likes dumping it over, mixing the shapes up, and then sorting them out before she re-stacks them. My next M&D; product on my wishlist – the easel :)

Yes Melissa & Doug are really the best. Although my girls like to get out all the puzzles we have of theirs and throw them until the room is full……….eh
