fun gifting idea for kids.

You know how once your kids reach a certain age, invitations to birthday parties start flowing in and you have to start coming up with creative, age appropriate gifts on a ridiculously regular basis? Me too.

This is where a couple of really clever, ahead of the game moms come into the picture: Lisa Fielding and Stefanie Katz-Rothman created Gift Hero to take the guessing out of gift giving. It’s pretty simple: you go to their site and pick the gender and age range of the kid you’re shopping for and you end up with a whole bunch of gift ideas. So for example, for C’s birthday, I looked under 5-year-old boys and found this piece of magnificence which hasn’t left his hands since the big day. The present even gets shipped straight to the recipient with a personalized note in its own little re-usable gift bag.

Pretty sweet right? They’ve nailed it on the head. The gift selection is totally age appropriate, all toys I’d love my children to give or receive. And Gift Hero has a philanthropic heart; you can donate classroom materials to children in Headstart Classrooms in the Bronx when you check out. Fabulous.
