weekly fit tip.

I think it’s time for reader fitness tips. I’m all tipped out. I’ve been brainstorming, trying to think of all my amazing fit tips and I can’t think of a darned thing. So readers, it’s all you now! Send me your fit tips in the comments section and I’ll post them on Petit Elefant. Make them good, I really need ’em.

Today’s fit tip comes from Petit Elefant reader Emily:

My tip is accountability.

“I’m only accountable to myself really, but my husband knows my goals, and he knows if I work out or not..and then I’m embarrassed if I don’t. I also have a friend who only blogs on the days she works out–and she LOVES to blog–so that’s a real motivator!”

Thanks Emily!

Allison, My tip is to buy a new outfit (or two) specifically for working out. Then I get excited to wear it. And it compels me to workout because if I don’t, it’s clothes that I bought that I never wear and that would be a waste!

I don’t really enjoy working out, so instead I try to do things that I do enjoy that are also great fitness activities: a family hike, taking the kids for an afternoon walk in the stroller (or morning in the summer), dancing crazy with the kids, gardening. All of those are much more enjoyable for me than going to the gym.
