My little sister got married today. And while family weddings are usually a nightmare, this one was a pretty low-key affair. My sister bought her wedding dress at a prom dress store for $90 on clearance, no one wore anything matching, and flowers were only purchased for the parents and the bride and groom.
This is my favorite shot from the whole day. They both look like the cat that got the cream.
The bouquet was beautiful. Made by a family friend to my sister’s specifications including diamonds and feathers.
Photography by only the best, Justin Hackworth.

A borrowed necklace from a friend of my mother.

A gardenia. To remember and honor my deceased grandmother.

A rare smiling photo of my father and his Irish twin brother {they’re 14 months apart and alike in more ways than I can count}. This is the smiliest and warmest they get. It’s captured forever.

And a nod to future generations of family. Two smiling cousins with fans to beat the heat {a gift from the bride}.
It was a wonderful celebration, and I’m thrilled for my little sister and her new husband.
Congratulations!
Love the necklace and the beautiful bouquet. Simple weddings are the best!
I agree 100%. Love simple weddings.
The necklace is a variation of a necklace I already have. Gotta love sisters!
What a beautiful wedding!
It really was Donna, and that was only the wedding, the reception will be really pretty and simple too.
Looks wonderful!
It really was Suzanne, I’m so happy for her.

Me too Jane! She’s about to turn 31, it’s taken her a long time to find Prince Charming. :)
Your sister looks to elegant and classy! Congrats to the happy couple. :)
Thank you! Really.
A beautiful wedding!
It totally was Robin, absolutely beautiful! :)
Looks simple, classy and gorgeous. Good taste must run in the family. Makes me curious about your wedding – would you ever consider sharing photos?
I actually would. The thought had never occurred to me Jennifer, but it’s not a bad idea. We got married back in the days of film though, I might have to do some digging…..
I love her necklace! Looks like a big success! Congrats to the happy couple!
I thought you might like that necklace. :) I have one exactly like it in grey pearl!
I love those jewels and feathers. What a fun idea! She looks beautiful!
I know, who would think to put jewels in her bouquet? Not me, that’s who. It was really beautiful though.
