Back when the weather was still warmish, DownEast Basics sent me some clothes to try out from their new {Fall} line. I took photos of the darling clothes, edited them, put the clothes in my closet and promptly forgot about the whole thing. Because I’m awesome like that.
Fast forward a few months. I was at the mall a couple of weeks ago looking for something foxy to wear to BlissDom, when I wandered into the DownEast Basics storefront and found myself coveting every. single. thing on the racks. Everything was hot fashion, cute colors, and current style in a wide range of sizes. It took a lot of self control not to buy up the whole store.
Here’s what I have in my closet, and will probably pack in my suitcase for Mom 2.0 this weekend in Houston.
I can’t find this polka dot dress on the website anymore, but I did find this spotlight dress that looks completely adorable. I especially love the sleeves on the Spotlight Dress, they’re a very flattering length for those of us without biceps.
This L’Amour Coat is still available at DownEast, in fact, it’s on sale for $19.99. It’s great with a pair of jeans and some flats but could be dressed up with a skirt and heels too. Love it.
What do you like from the DownEast line right now? I’m totally jonesing for this Top Tier Skirt. Wouldn’t it be cute for Spring?

Dear DownEast Basics;
Please send me one of everything.I can be your west coast representative. It will be awesome. I will be your BFF.
kthanksbai.
Love,
MArcy
(really cuz stuff Al. And you look adorable AS USUAL)
I have the polka dot dress in navy. Got it on clearance right before Christmas and still wear it, 38 weeks pregnant and all. SUPER cute maternity dress that I'll still be able to wear afterwards, assuming I ever get a waist again. DownEast is my go-to.
hot-cha-cha!
Hot chica! You make any outfit look fabulous!
My latest purchase from DEB was a wrap-around shirt with a ruffled neckline (I forget the name), which I love because it doesn't matter how many cupcakes I've eaten the day before, it still makes me look thin!
You look fabulous as always! And that tier skirt? LOVE it!
I love pretty much all of their skirts. Unfortunately, I had a rather traumatic time when I last visited because I was about 2 sizes too big and couldn't fit into any of their largest sizes. This did not make me feel very good about myself.
However, I am working on being healthy and have lost 5 lbs since then, so hopefully by the time real spring rolls around I can actually buy one of their cute skirts.
I'm crazy for them right now. They're doing Anthropologie type styles at awesome prices. I spent $60 a couple weeks ago and got three skirts and a top.
that top tier skirt is sooo cute! it is the perfect skirt for spring!! now the weather just needs to get warmer…
Sometimes I want to kick you in the nose!! Trips to all the cool places….SOME FOR FREE!! Awesome shoes, fun friends a darling family…new kitchen and floor in family room…and NOOOOOWWW free clothes!! HELLOOOO!! No fair!!
just bought that polka dot dress on clearance clearance! yeah that's right i got half off the sale price. so take that to your "i get clothes for free" no you are right you still get a better deal but at least it felt nice to stick it to ya for a second!
are you going to blogher? because i am and i'm planning on wearing that dress. we should try to coordinate. ;)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that polka dot dress on you. I'm heading over to Down East to check out their stuff. Thanks!
Oh, Heather at Happy Chippy Junk, uhm, Allison is not getting stuff for FREE, she's WORKING for it. This here blog is her job, which, from what I can tell, takes actual work to put together. It's not "free" if it's your paycheck. I don't happen to think that a free dress is even near enough payment for the work she's doing.
I'm loving DEB like crazy right now too! Always something new everytime I go in. Love it!
I am from Kansas and I have never heard of DownEast Basics? I am going to check out the website. Love the Fushia jacket.
Dear A,
Wear that dress a few times and then send it to me. Mmm'kay!!
Gosh we have the same style, although you are much taller than me and can pull it off a lot better.
Adorable polka dot dress, looks great with the boots too!
Cute & reasonable, right up my alley. Score, we have a store in Mesa, AZ! I feel a road trip! :)
You're a hot sexy mama! Nice job DownEast!
