ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here.

I was happy to read your comments and tweets after I posted about ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here Neighborhood Rally Campaign. It really is alarming that so many children in our midst are without food. It brings out every maternal instinct I have when I hear something like that.

One in four children is hungry? I want to bring them all into my kitchen for an after-school snack, but alas I cannot.

Thankfully a whole host of people, including 14 bloggers across the country, have come together to host house parties and CHEH neighborhood rallies to raise food and awareness to this campaign.

Did you know Dana Delany of Desperate Housewives fame, held a rally in her fictional neighborhood of Wisteria Lane? It’s true.

Are any of you participating in neighborhood rallies? Do you participate in any other way to end child hunger? I personally love that the U.S. Postal Service gathers food right out of my mailbox once a year, it’s a foolproof way to contribute.

I know some of you were planning to host neighborhood rallies, how did they go? If you don’t have time to host a rally you can still join the efforts by winning some loot from the celebrity auction going on at Clothes Off Our Back. Good stuff.

If you want to follow @ConAgraFoods for the latest updates, it’s a great way to stay involved. Or, follow the ConAgra Facebook page to see what’s happening.
