unique screen printed clothes for kids.

This onesie may be one of the cutest thing I’ve ever put on my baby. Handmade by Kristin of v.lou textiles, the onesie itself is high quality (and bright red!) and the applique? Color coordinated perfection in uncommonly cute patterns. Not to mention it’s an elefant. oui! A retro vibe, a modern vibe, and clearly stitched with care. Very adorable by v. lou textiles. Creator Kristin has an eye for unique graphics I haven’t seen elsewhere–we may be partial to…

Kokopax

Hope you all had a great 4th! We spent the holiday with my in-laws in the mountains. Snowbird does an annual pancake breakfast. We arrived just before they closed down and enjoyed a nice breakfast together. It was wonderful to escape to the mountains where the air was a little cooler—despite the fact that it didn’t occur to me to bring a light sweater. Because it was cool and a little overcast, none of us thought to wear sunscreen. My…

Sephora makeup.

I’ve recently developed an infatuation with Sephora.com. I’ve enjoyed their stores in other cities–if you’ve visited a Sephora store you know how fun it can be with all those pretty, shiny containers of color and fragrance. But, I had never purchased makeup on-line before. Don’t know what I was worried about. Their selection of brands is unbelievable and I’ve been really happy with each of my purchases, like this, though if I hadn’t been happy, returns aren’t a big deal….

Nowali Moccasins

My husband and I take very different approaches on socks. I have literally three pairs of socks. Mike has about fifty. At least. I go sockless (obviously) about 350 days a year—the days that I’m not wearing my favorite pair of knee-high gray striped socks. (The other two pairs of socks I own just sit uselessly in my drawer.) Mike’s socks end up strewn about the house in whichever places he has chosen to take them off. And on laundry…

allyzaba blankets.

My kids are fighting to the death over our ‘family’ Allyzabba blanket {called the MegaZabba}. Plush fabric on the front & silky smooth on the back makes the perfect sensory experience for your little ones. Those little nubs on the fabric make for hours of self soothing, and who doesn’t need a little of that once in a while? I’m not raising my hand, but I should. Allyzabba Aloha$24.95{small} I’m partial to the Aloha but you can choose whichever style…

We’re doing a little bit of primping, a lot of pampering, and a whole lot of partying & you need to come and join us! Hurry up and R.S.V.P. while there’s…

FranciePants

As the mother of a little girl I really struggle with trying to keep P modest in all her physical activities. In fact she usually wears sweats to gymnastics, because she really hates people looking at her bum. I don’t blame her. I really could have used Francie Pants in high school when I wore a uniform. I wore boxers to school every day underneath my kilt so if there was a nasty wind, I wasn’t in trouble. Francie’s are…

birkenstock sandals.

I’m the child of two hippies, so it’s no surprise that I’ve always loved Birkenstock’s. I mean I’m literally from a family of tie dye wearing, granola eating, Volkswagen van driving, hippies. It goes without saying that I’ve always had a pair of Birkenstock’s in my closet. They’ve never been particularly stylish, but they’re undeniably comfortable and when you’re doing lots of hiking, camping, and granola eating, you need comfortable shoes. I’m telling you, the winds of change have come…

online kids clothing store.

Looking for a little something, something to dress the kids for Summer vacation? Moxie Kids is one of my favorite online retailers for all things kinder. I’m thinking this shirt would be adorable for our celebration of the 4th of July, it even has the capitals of each state printed on the inside! Dogwood State Flag Tee $23 {via Moxie Kids} A little something to go with the shirt, for the boy who can’t stay out of the mud? Umi…
