If they aren’t watching, they are re-enacting, and vowing to become Olympians. Go for it, kiddos. Go for it. I’ve found some fantastic Olympic themed activities for family gatherings or to occupy…

how to recipe for homemade clay

playdoh

My mom used to make clay for us when we were little, in big huge batches.  We’d all put on aprons and sidle up to the kitchen table on snowy afternoons where we played away for hours. The recipe couldn’t be easier, and making homemade clay with your kids is a really great activity.  There’s lots of measuring and mixing and distracting from the fact that mommy probably feels a little bit bananas and needs something for the little people…

Present Wrapping Idea

present

This year I’ve decided all the Christmas gifts will be wrapped in brown paper.  It started when I was re-using brown paper bags from the grocery store, wrapping the gifts with the insides of the bag so nothing but the brown showed.  After I ran out of those I decided to buy brown Kraft paper from the Dollar Store {where else?} and continue on with my wrapping.  I love the look of all the gifts in the house wrapped as…
