Budget Drug Store Beauty Finds

Don’t we all want to look beautiful? Preferably without spending a ton of money? At least that goes for me. Well, have no fear! I am a firm believer that you can find products at the drug store that work just as well (sometimes better!) than their more expensive halves. And today, I ‘m going to share some of my favorite budget drug store beauty finds with you!

Revlon Lipstick

Revlon lipstick

I’m not gonna lie, I do own a MAC lipsticks that cost me upwards of $20. And I love them and consider them worth it. However, I do not think it’s a necessity to spend that kind of money on lipstick. My first budget drug store beauty pick is lipstick. I personally own & love quite a few Revlon lipsticks. More specifically the Super Lustrous™ Shine Lipstick in three different colors (coral, red & pink) and their Colorburst™ Lip Butter. They go on silky smooth and feel great all day and you only spent a whopping $8!

L’Oreal Voliminous Mascara

For years I would spend $27 on DiorShow mascara. I was convinced it was worth it. Until one time when I was in Italy I bought one that didn’t seem to perform as well as the others before. It seems that wasn’t the only one and I was no longer satisfied with spending $27 on something that wasn’t up to regular standards. So I was at Target one day and picked up Voluminous Mascara by L’Oreal. And there has been no turning back! It elongates your lashes, makes them thicker and doesn’t clump. It’s seriously one of my all-time favorites.

e.l.f. False Lashes

Have you heard of e.l.f.? If not, you can thank me later. Almost all of the products are $1 to $3 each. Yep, you read that right.  Now, there are some things that I wouldn’t purchases from e.l.f. and might want to spend a tad bit more. I wasn’t too excited about their lipstick – it bled a little bit. But when it comes to falsies, you can’t beat these e.l.f. ones. The more expensive versions range from $4 to $8 and they do exactly the same thing. Tell me why I should spend $7 more on something where I can get the same (if not better, IMO) results for $1!? It’s the epitome of budget/drug store beauty.  I would, however, suggest buying the DUO lash glue, I wasn’t too sold on the glue that comes with the e.l.f. lashes.

e.l.f Blush

83131_A_900px_a_100011I know that Nars Orgasm blush is what everyone is talking about, but that baby is $29 by itself. That is a lot of money for .16 ounces of product. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I like to splurge on things like this. But if you just want a good, every day sturdy blush the e.l.f Studio Blush is perfect for you. And it costs $3. You’re welcome. Oh and you can pick it up at Target.

Wet n Wild Nail Polish

I love to have pretty painted nails. I love going to the nail salon to get it done. I don’t love paying $30 every two weeks and I don’t love how my nails chip right after I get them done. On a whim I was in Target and wanted to try something funky on my nails. So I didn’t want to spend too much money, but I needed some polish. I bought this Wet n Wild polish and MAN have I been glad I did! It stays longer than any nail polish I have tried since. Longer than OPI, longer than Essie, longer than Sally Hansen, it hasn’t let me down yet. The only downside is that they don’t have a ton of colors.

I really could keep this list going and going but hopefully you get the idea. You can look beautiful on a budget! Well, you can look beautiful no matter what, and you can buy beauty products on a budget that get the job done, that’s better. Hopefully you can grab a couple of these to ramp up your beauty routine for Valentine’s Day– I know there is a fierce red in the nail color & lipstick!
