Thanks to Viktor for posting again today. I’m finding it hard to do anything in the throes of the lazy days of Summer. All I want to do is lie around {at the beach *sigh* I wish} reading Meg Cabot books. She’s written over 60 books, and I haven’t read every last one of them {yet} so lying around doing nothing but reading is proving to be a very possible feat.
Queen of Babble Gets Hitched.
$15.74.

Her latest book ‘Queen of Babble Gets Hitched‘ came out yesterday and I can’t wait to read it. I requested it from the library months ago and received a phone call yesterday from the library that it was in and I needed to come pick it up. We only have one car these days so I put C on the back of my cruiser bike in his seat and pumped downhill to the library {fun on the way down, not so fun on the way uphill} only to find that the library decided to close early last night. Grrrrrr. We satisfied ourselves with snow cones before heading uphill empty handed. Which was the second disappointment of the night. Not the hill, although it’s always disappointing going up a steep hill on a cruiser bike carrying 40+ pounds of kid behind you. The snow cones were a joke. I’m off sugar so I decided to go sugar-free. I paid $2 for a Dixie cup full of bitter tasting snow. Lesson learned.
But today I have a car for a few precious moments and I’m headed to the library to pick up my latest Meg Cabot holds. I read {and loved} the 1-800-Where-R-You series on the beach in California and am on the last book of The Mediator series and can’t wait to find out how it ends. Her books are witty, fast paced, and fun. Perfect for a lazy Summer afternoon.

This is the second time I am writing this comment since my 18 month old pushed the on/off button on my computer. I am not much of a reader and only because I choose to knit on my down time. I do read when we go on vacation and I think this will be the book. If I can finish it in a weeks time then it is a quick read for me! Thanks for the tip!
I’m on my library waiting list for this book as well… but they haven’t called me yet. :( I’ve read most of her books but haven’t tackled the Mediator or 1800 series. Maybe I’ll give them a shot now since you seemed to love them.
I’ve been meaning to read Queen of Babble, because that’s me on the cover:

Shall I pull it out this summer?
I LOVE Queen of Babble! I just have to get my butt to the store to buy it. Can’t wait to see what happens!
