wedding week.

Remember when I told you about the impending nuptials of one of my favorite family members {and great friend} Miss NYC {that’s us together at her brother’s wedding last summer}? Time flies & the wedding is this weekend in {where else?} New York City. I can’t wait to go enjoy the wedding weekend. Weddings are one of my favorite pleasures in life {who says you can’t buy wedding magazines once you’re married?} and I couldn’t be happier for this particular bride & groom. I may have to amend my no-sugar lifestyle, just for one night, as the dessert menu alone is worth flying across the country to taste.

I’m also excited because V and I are traveling without the kids in celebration of not only the wedding but our {belated} ten year anniversary as well. Is there anywhere in particular we should go? Anything we can’t leave NYC without trying? We’re feeling pretty footloose and fancy free, so feel free to suggest away.

I’ve got two guest bloggers set up for the time I’m away so there’s no need to worry about lack of fantastic content on Petit Elefant. They’ll be guesting the end of this week and all of next and I’ll be back bright eyed and bushy tailed after that. Meanwhile I still have two days left and have some pretty great finds to share with you.

Hello there! I'm Allison Czarnecki, founder + editor of Petit Elefant, a blog all about style on a budget for every part of your life: style / home / travel / family. I do a lot of how-to beauty + style tutorials, travel posts, easy recipes, home remodel projects, and cool DIY crafts you totally want to try. I'm super happily married (to a hot Polish immigrant) and am the mother of two kids, a daughter and son, all of whom are featured here on the regular. We live in the country but we're a little bit rock + roll. Welcome!
