lunch tin.

P has wanted a lunch box for a while, but she isn’t much of a character fan and none of the lunch boxes we’ve seen fit her personality. So we decided to make one. I’ve spelled it out for you in case any of you want to go do the same. You could do the same thing for a recipe box, memory keeper, etc.

Step 1: Go to Roberts Crafts & pick up a metal tin box {it didn’t cost more than $4 with the printable coupon}.

Step 2: Pick out stickers and any embellishments you want. I let P pick out the stickers and I picked out the ribbons.

Step 3: Put stickers all over the box, any which way you can live with. Measure ribbons to the length you want {mine were about 3″ each} and tie them in double knots across the handle.

Step 4: Mod Podge all over the outside of the box so the stickers don’t come off when the lunch box is rattling around in your kids’ backpack.

Voilá! Lunch box.

I’m under no illusion that Martha will be calling anytime soon, but this was a fun, inexpensive, super easy project. P loves her lunch box, her friends are all envious, and we knocked out two birds {lunch box & craft time} with one stone.
