I’m styling a photo shoot in Park City, Utah for a magazine next week, and aside from being totally excited, it’s been really fun to make some collages of winter casual outfits.
This one is my favorite so far.

Most the clothing I’m getting is from: J.Crew, Lands’ End Canvas {you know how much I love Lands’ End Canvas}, GAP, and Eddie Bauer. What do you think?
I’d wear this outfit TODAY if it were in my closet. Especially those boots, I need those boots.

Hello there! I'm Allison Czarnecki, founder + editor of Petit Elefant, a blog all about style on a budget for every part of your life: style / home / travel / family. I do a lot of how-to beauty + style tutorials, travel posts, easy recipes, home remodel projects, and cool DIY crafts you totally want to try. I'm super happily married (to a hot Polish immigrant) and am the mother of two kids, a daughter and son, all of whom are featured here on the regular. We live in the country but we're a little bit rock + roll. Welcome!
I love the look of Lands End Canvas but do their sizes run small? Everything looks tiny and often they don’t have XLs. I’m a curvy girl, size 12…so I’m hesitant to order from them.
Heaven’s no! I’m a solid 12 and they fit me like a glove. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
I love that jacket. That is a great piece for sure. It sounds like you are pretty set on those boots, but I just got a pair of these for my wife Cole, and have been dying to get them in a shoot ever since, so i thought I would share… http://www.solestruck.com/jeffrey-campbell-brit-fur-brown-distressed/index.html# Hope that link works.
I am excited to see the results from this shoot. I am excited for you. Park City is such a great location.
Ryan, those boots are awesome. They’d make me look like Goliath though, my legs are too bulky. I’ll bet your wife looks hot though. thanks for the link, seriously.
And thanks for the encouragement, I appreciate it! :)
I would love for you to be my personal shopper/desser. It is a goal in my life to have one some day. That’s probably a shallow goal…
Please? PLEASE? I’d die. Die. How fun would that be? That’s not a shallow goal, that’s an attainable, enjoyable goal.
stylist not desser. Typing with a baby in my lap is hard.
I’d also dress you if you’d like.
LOVE this outfit. GREAT pick.
Isn’t it adorable? Swoon.
Cute outfit, BUT those boots are sold out I had been watching them at eddie bauer for a sale and whamo all gone day of the sale!
Leigh Anne,
It’s because they’re so stinking cute! I wish they had them in my size too. That’s what happens to cute boots I suppose. Maybe I’ll put them on an eBay watch list…
i love everything about this.
that makes two of us. I want to marry this outfit.
I love that jacket…I might have to search it out!
Eddie Bauer. It’s on sale too.
I love that jacket!
Isn’t it adorable? A super flattering riding type jacket. Adorable.
I don’t know how much I love the boots because I have biggish feet and they’d make me look mannish I think, but I am pretty sure the rest of the outfit is a NEED, not a want.
I think if worn with leggings or skinny jeans they’d be perfect. My feet are a 9 1.2 or 10 so I know what you mean, but it’s all about balance…. :)
I agree, not a want, definite need.
An award for you at Baba’s. Hope you come check it out.

Thanks Deborah, I appreciate it!
The fact that there are two pairs of socks in your collage cracks me up. Baby it’s cold outside!
Alma, it’s all about the layering, you know that.
Plus, it’s more for visual effect than practicality at a photo shoot, come on.
I love the scarf. I think I am going to have to put that in my closet. I wish I had use for the boots, but it doesn’t stay cold long enough here to justify the purchase.
Well, you definitely need that scarf, it can be used anytime, anywhere. Doesn’t it look snuggly? It’s from Lands End Canvas, and I’m pretty sure it’s on super sale.
go forth and shop!
