You know who’s always been a part of Christmas from the time I was old enough to remember? Land’s End. Seriously, Land’s End just reminds me of Christmas: flannel nightgowns, slippers, sweaters for school, snow boots, turtlenecks. You get the idea. Maybe it’s because I grew up in Utah where it is cold, cold, cold in December, but I’ve always loved opening presents from Land’s End and knowing they’d make me a little bit cozier in the coming months. the slippers for my kiddos, for sure. my mother-in-law brought some only-used-once slippers for me to try when she came at Thanksgiving, and they were too tight for me. next thing i know, all of my kids were giving them a test run–especially my boys who are 9 and 7…they had no shame plodding all over the house in baby blue (though blue still the same to them, i bet), almost-grandma-looking slippers…they just wanted slippers!!! :) oh, i just love Land’s End…did you know that Peter applied for a job there years ago?? how sweet that discount would’ve been…!
