The Perfect Small Gold Necklace.

Mighty Summit was chock-a-block full of delectable, pampering gifts for the attendees and I’m supremely grateful for all of them.  Truly, I am.

This gold necklace though, this beautiful handmade gold necklace with five little rings holds the most significance for me, out of all the gifts.  One was given to each of us at the farewell dinner, and the rings signify the five things we promised we’d cross off our life lists within the next year.

I have my list stashed in my wallet, my mini list with five items.  They are:

1. Learn to surf {trying to make this happen within the month}

2. Have an article published in a well-known magazine

3. Attend fashion week and write about it

4. Help spread awareness of, and support others with Lupus

5. I can’t remember the 5th, but I’m sure it was good

I wore the necklace home and have scarcely taken it off, except to bathe, {it’s not supposed to be good for the gold}.  Anyway, the company that made them is called Handmade Lemonade, an Etsy shop filled with gorgeous handmade jewelry.

I think everyone needs a simple little go-to necklace, don’t you?

Cute necklace and I love the lemonade name ;)

    • Allison :

I think the name is almost the best part. Almost.

  2. Heather B. :

You’re going to cross off going to Martha’s Vineyard. That’s what.

    • Allison :

Heather, you’re totally right. That’s why I couldn’t remember, because it was Martha’s Vineyard!

If you’re willing to expand your timeframe and want to REALLY learn to surf, this is the place to go: http://www.witchsrocksurfcamp.com/

And if that doesn’t convince you, this is my surf instructor: http://thejuggle.blogspot.com/search?q=surf

    (I’ll go with you.)

As for fashion week, won’t you need someone to go with you to that as well? Because I have unused frequent flier miles and Starwood points. Just sayin’.

    • Allison :

      Noelle,

Clearly, we’re meant to be besties. Surfing with you? Done. Fashion Week? I think we need to make it a threesome. I mean, that didn’t mean that the way it sounded.

      You know what I mean.

      • noelle :

clearly it’s in the stars. i seriously will go surfing with you; it’s my favorite thing to do. and just last week while watching project runway i was trying to figure out a way to get invited into the tent…any tent. if all it takes is donating flights and hotel rooms then so be it. i’m in.

      • Allison :

I think a fashion week brainstorming lunch is in order, yes?

  4. Jenny :

My cousin taught me to surf on a longboard (at Daytona Beach, so nothing crazy) a few years ago and it was not scary or as hard as I thought. YAY longboards!

    You will rock that.

    • Allison :

Listen, crazy or not I’m going to need some serious help getting vertical on that thing. I’m nervous and TOTALLY excited.
