Candidly: it’s been a rough week with the kiddos. Teething misery for one, repeated tantrums for the other, who feels obligated to hoist himself into the baby’s crib and wake him mere minutes after that baby has found desperate comfort in sleep. Every day. Too-early mornings, too-late nights, a long list of unfinished chores and projects as I face the weekend, which means I’ll be playing catch-up instead of in the sun. I am, in a word: frazzled. Out of diet coke, my one [quasi] vice, out of ideas. I haven’t showered today. And my babysitter is leaving for college this weekend. So I look to you, blog land. You never let me down.
When it gets like this for you (and oh please tell me it does), how do you bounce back?

Breathe. It's cliche, I know, but really I just have to breathe and remember that tomorrow is another day. Chocolate helps, too. ;)
Chocolate and Diet Coke. And never ever think it can't get worse. Just love those sweet babies before they grow too big.
ammendment: tell husband to bring home Cafe Rio and Diet Coke for dinner.
Lizzie: I actually ate chocolate chip cookies for lunch
Donna: it's all true. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just kiss the naughties away?
pedicure. dark chocolate. night out with girlfriends.
sometimes i runaway.
no really, i do.
i tell the hubby i need to be by myself and i just get in the car and drive. occasionally i end up wandering around target for hours with nothing in mind. which is just what i need…nothing in my mind.
trust me, i so feel your pain…if you even just glance at my blog {the parts about my non-stop mess maker son}, i promise…you'll feel better or at least laugh. :)
this too shall pass….and when it does, we'll look back and long for those exhausting days {and nights} we spent with our babies. they really are so precious, sometimes we just need to step back to see what a gift they truly are.
hugs.
I lead a perfect life with good back-lighting, a massage therapist, live-in nanny, and a chef. I have no idea what you mean with this *end of the road* nonsense.
Diet Coke and a visit with non judgemental friends.
Go get some more diet coke, or change it up and get a diet cherry coke. Take and hour our two to regroup away from everyone, I usually choose fabric stores. :) Come home clean up the mess and start again tomorrow. If you're really lucky hubs cleaned up the mess while you were gone. :)
And yes we all get like that…I think I'm on my way. Too bad hubs is out on a 6 day motorcycle trip with his dad. That's when I go hide in the basement. The kids are afraid to come find me because of the spiders.
I forgot about Diet Coke!
I'm glad you had some chocolate. :)
