guest on design mom: talking fashion and style

I’m doing some really fun posts over at Design Mom this week so come over and say hello.

Do you know how to wear jewelry? Oh come on, just pretend you’re not amazing at putting yourself together every morning and you need my tips.

How about scarf tying skills?

And Fall sweaters? How do you manage with those? The foxy one from SocialLuxe Lounge makes for a really fabulous outfit.

There’s another really fun post coming. I’ve been dying to write about it for months.

Ok I'm excited that you're posting over at Design Mom! Woot!

Have you seen the jewelry at DownEast for Fall? I was amazed at how inexpensive they are. Gretchen (at work) says they're selling like hot cakes. You should get your hands on some.

That Land's end sweater looks awesome on you!! Love it.

    Melissa,

The DownEast jewelry is amazing! I love it all.

Thanks for the sweater compliments. Victor somehow thought it would look better if I posed in front of the car. Of course.

    Gabrielle,

Thank you, I'm happy you found me! No waist + leggings = aaaaaaah.

  3. Gabrielle :

I love your blog, glad to find it! Yes, I love those jeans now if I could just by a waist to wear them. Four kids, NO waist. :)

  4. Tiffany :

I found you from Design mom and fell in love with your cheap jewelry finds and that outfit you put together! I'm officially hooked.

  5. Becky :

I loved the makeup tutorial! I'm not so smart when it comes to makeup so I would love to see more!!!! I loved the step by step pictures. Is love to see more posts of how to from you… What is hiding up your sleeve?

  6. Laura :

hi! i'm not usually one to comment- but i just had to applaud your sassy little posts on design mom. reasons i love them: 1. they are as simple as pie (how to wear a scarf- love it.) 2. your products are realistic and within reach (no armani eyeshadows or chanel nailpolishes. puh-lease. unless they take coupons.) 3. you are funny and down to earth. no snobby beauty editor tone.
i am a fashion magazine junkie- probably always will be- but in your posts i found easy ideas i can apply to my own t-shirt and jeans life as a stay at home mom. i'll just look a little bit cuter now thanks to you!

You looked AWESOME in that sweater, yesterday. So good to see you. Wish we could have talked more.

  8. Petit Elefant :

    Tiffany,

Hooray for being hooked on me! Now let's hope I'm not too addictive.

    Laura,

Thank you for the kind comments. Sometimes it's hard to feel like I can *be myself* in the competitive cosmetic world, but what you see is what you get.

    Becky,

Oh the things I have up my sleeve! I can't wait to keep showing tutorials, I had so much fun doing them on Design Mom!

    Michelledoodads,

Thank you! It really does hide *ahem* problem areas, doesn't it?
Never enough time to chat, ever.

  9. ALC :

Can a woman over, cough, thirty-five still wear skinny jeans? I just don't know. Maybe if the Cardigan was long enough to cover my beautiful chubby belly. Thanks 3 babies! (of course they were worth looking partially pregnant all the time, even though I'm NOT:)

  10. Petit Elefant :

    ALC,

I'm about to find out. I'm trying some Lands' End skinny jeans shortly, and we'll see if the curvy girls can really pull it off. Will keep you posted.
