Hello, friends, Happy Monday! It’s time to clean house. Don’t sad sigh on me now, we can totally do this, one week at a time, which is exactly what we’re going to do.
Last year was the year of if-it-doesn’t-kill-you-it-will-make-you-stronger. It almost did me in, 2014, but guess what suckas? (I’m referring to the universe, not you) I’m still here! My baby girl has turned a corner and is slowly, slowly but surely getting a little better every day. Things are looking up in every possibly way.
I’m back, and stronger than I’ve ever been.
What does that mean for you? It means I’m cleaning house both physically, metaphorically, and bloglisciously. (Not to be confused with the booty-smacking brilliant good time that is the social media conference Blogalicious.) That last word didn’t even make sense, but let’s pretend it did. The long and short is that the blog is getting a house cleaning and it’s going to be blogaliciously beautifully awesome (blogaliciously =blogging + delicious).
I’m only going to do sponsored posts that make sense for me and you. I’ve been very careful in the past with sponsored content, but I’m going to be even more selective moving forward. I want Petit Elefant to be gorgeous and happy and inspiring, full of useful wonderful things for all of us. The most authentic beautiful place on the internet it can possibly be. All editors and content will embody what Petit Elefant stands for:
living an authentic, beautiful, inspiring, practical, useful, happy life
Who’s with me? Virtual fist bump. I actually really need to stop doing that, my friends are ready to revoke my fist bump emoticon privileges. But really, fist bump.
I’m so excited! Petit Elefant is about to rock your world, if it hasn’t already. Let’s GET IT STARTED in here. (Now I’m singing Black Eyed Peas lyrics at you. My friends will really revoke all privileges if I keep going.)
First order of business? Organizing our lives. One week at a time, one kitchen cupboard or office drawer, or bedside table at a time. I’m tackling life in bite-sized pieces so it will be both manageable and sustainable long term. We can totally do this, guys. Easy, peasy.
If you have any areas of your house / life / business you are desperate to figure out how to get in order, leave a comment or email me (allison AT petitelefant DOT com) and let me know! I want this new year to be relevantly awesome for all of us.
Watch for a post later today for our first project of the year: Organizing Your House Week One. It’s going to be so fun, you won’t even believe it. I’m serious! Let’s be awesome in 2015 together.
Hi Allison , loved your post and your energy !! Hopefully it will be contagious ! Lately it seems that my whole life need to be reorganised , but starting with my craft/work supplies should help me to make everything flow again, can’t wait to read your advices . Take care :)
Natacha, Thanks for leaving a note! I hope Petit Elefant can be an energetic and happy place for you to hang out. I definitely have office / craft room / studio organization projects on the horizon, thank you for letting me know what’s relevant to you.
Have a great night.
Bathroom organization tips please! Specifically makeup and products. I tend to not use stuff if I can’t see it. But space is limited. This is the stressful area in my house currently.
I’m in. I’m doing this thing. Let’s do it.
