Braids Braids Braids!

Hi everyone! Today I thought it would be fun to talk about braids. Why braids? Well, because it’s winter and with the harsh weather, braids can keep your hair from flopping about and protect it from damage. It also rains quite a bit this time of year and your hair won’t get has soaked when they’re wrapped in a braid. Not to mention they’re super easy and cute, and right on trend!

So today I thought it would be fun to share some braid inspiration with you.

Long and simple

If your hair is long enough a simple, pretty braid, French braid, or fishtail is so pretty. Even if it isn’t as long as mine here, no worries, you can still create a pretty side braid. You can also wrap the braid up and around for a pretty braided bun look. Super simple and elegant, my kinda style! Here’s three winter braids that anyone can do. Even if you can’t braid, there’s one for you!

Braid those bangs!

I don’t know about you, but man, bangs can be a super big hassle! I mean, I love them when they’re cute but absolutely hate them when they get in my face all the time. Braiding your bangs to the side is a super cute way to get them out of your face. I have 13 other ways to wear your bangs here if you want to check it out.

Braid your Buns

Flip your hair upside down and braid it! It adds a fun texture to it and dresses up a simple bun or ponytail. It might look complicated, but if you can French braid, then you can do it. Like I said, just flip your head over and French braid all the way to wear you want to put the bun and continue the braid all the way to the end of the hair just so it doesn’t loosen up the braid in the back. Then secure with a ponytail holder & then you can let the rest of the braid loose. Create the bun or ponytail you want with it and you’re done! Here’s the full tutorial.

Half up Braids

This pretty side Dutch braid is an easy half up due that is simple and so pretty. Can you see a pattern in my styles? Simple, they’re all simple. I am a momma of two boys and don’t have a ton of time to spend on my hair but I still want it to be cute. The full tutorial is here but you just Dutch braid to the side and secure it with some hair from the other side in the back. Done!

Obviously there are plenty of other ways to wear braids, but I just wanted to start with the basics and hopefully inspire you to be creative from there. We’ve got normal braid, bangs, all up and half up here! Take this and go on to create something beautiful!

Thanks for reading & see you next time!
