Is frog eye salad a Utah thing? Did your grandmothers and aunties across the globe make this for every Summer barbeque growing up? I’ll tell you what: frog eye salad, and all its many iterations, makes a BBQ for me. If none of the seasoned motherly figures in my life show up with a (huge avocado green Tupperware bowl with original lid from 1978) full of this chewy, marshmallow-y, fruity confection, as far as I’m concerned, the barbecue isn’t legit.
