I’m headed off for a week of much needed R&R; with my husband, but will be leaving you in the very capable hands of Kimberly and Cicada. You won’t even know I’m gone. I’ll be back shortly with fun wedding details and some new finds from NYC.

So happy to be posting here at Petite Elefant these next few days, hoping to live up to the classiness that lives and visits here. A little bit about me: I’m married to a rough-around-the-edges Prince Charming. 2 years ago I abandoned the rickety corporate ladders for motherhood, which I embrace and adore. In fact, my little one (M) is probably the best boss ever. Born a city girl, I now reside in small-town Idaho surrounded by farmlands, rivers, mountains…

Everyday Pad.$19{via Whomi}. I love being organized, I really do. Having kids makes it trickier than I thought possible to stay organized however, & I’m constantly on the prowl for new, innovative ways to make my life easier. I love the What To Do Pad from Whomi. It separates your tasks by day so you can see {and tear off} your activities one day-at-a-time. I love that each day is color coded so your muddled brain {well, definitely my muddled…

Congratulations!!!! hannademaster said… I’d love this set for my son, although he may not be able to enjoy them quite yet. However, I know that they would help keep my sister sane this summer on HOT days when she can’t send my nephew outside! Best of luck to you, your sister, and your house-bound-too-hot-to-go-outside nephew.
wedding week.
Remember when I told you about the impending nuptials of one of my favorite family members {and great friend} Miss NYC {that’s us together at her brother’s wedding last summer}? Time flies & the wedding is this weekend in {where else?} New York City. I can’t wait to go enjoy the wedding weekend. Weddings are one of my favorite pleasures in life {who says you can’t buy wedding magazines once you’re married?} and I couldn’t be happier for this particular…

Happy Independence Day! Have a lovely holiday weekend. We’ll see you Monday.
exfoliating weleda body scrub.
I’m not exactly the poster child for skin cancer prevention {as I spend the majority of my summer poolside, and love being chocolate brown come fall} but I have been known to dip into the self-tanner once in a while in a pinch. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned about self-tanner, it’s the importance of proper exfoliation prior to its application. Not doing so results in nasty streaks and patches of blotchy tanner {and is completely inadvisable}. Birch Body…

handmade purses.
I’ve got a new favorite Etsy shop: 3 C’s Creations. Donna Hansen is a mom of 3 boys who runs a daycare in her home and manages to make adorable purses and clutches on her kitchen table {in-between changing diapers and running her kids to practices}. Her sewing is impeccable and her creations are adorable. I bet she’ll even do custom orders if you ask nicely. My favorite purse in her shop right now is this Amy Butler Medium Tote….
