I decorated our tree with a little extra something-something this year. A little something-something I found at the Dollar Store.
Have you ever decorated your Christmas tree with flowers before? This was a first for me, and I love it. In fact, next year maybe I’ll get my very own tree and decorate the entire thing with only fake flowers and white lights. It’s really, really pretty.
Supplies for decorating your Christmas tree with flowers:
- A few stems of your favorite fake flower from whichever store you frequent the most {The Dollar Store is my bad habit}
- A pair of wire cutters
That’s it. Seriously, that’s all she wrote.
Step 1: Separate out one stem of flowers at a time
Step 2: Snip the flowers off the bunch at the bottom so they’re separated
Step 3: Pull off the leaves, unless you want to add some “leaf effect”. I said no thank you very much to the “leaf effect”.
Step 4: Single out each stem and you’re ready to rock and roll. And by rock and roll, I mean decorate your Christmas tree with fake flowers from the Dollar Store. Rock n’ Roll takes on a new meaning as you get older.
*sigh*
Step 5: Now tuck the stems of the flowers into the branches all over your tree. That’s it.

The past few years, Ive decorated our tree with poinsettias. But before that, Ive done other flowers including roses, believe it or not. Its one of my favorites. :-)
I don’t know how I haven’t figured this out before but it’s so darn gorgeous.

Considering I have five cats that like to climb up the tree and make a game of seeing how many ornaments they can knock off each day this is brilliant.
