Planning a DisneyWorld Vacation Part 1

I’ve been up to something. Something big. Something 2 years in the making. Something, dare I say, incredible? It’s a surprise for my little family, but I’ll give you 3 guesses. The first 2 don’t count.

Disneyworld Vacation Planning

I’ve been saving my pennies for almost 2 years now, and so have my little boys–though they only know that it’s a vacation fund. They don’t know this is happening, and we plan to keep it a secret until the last possible moment.

The moment we booked our DisneyWorld hotel (more on that later), this snappy little package was sent to us in the mail. See how they customized it? And that cute little thumb drive in the snappy little box? If DisneyWorld is going the extra mile to keep us excited about our trip, and make me feel relevant, it’s working.

The booklet and thumb drive contain helpful details for planning our vacation, how to use Fast Pass and Magic Bands (more on all that later), and reserving activities, all based on info I provided online. When I set up my on-line profile, I chose The Incredibles as my Avatar. I suspect (but cannot confirm) that’s why my vacation planning kit was created with an Incredibles theme. I’m a sucker for details like that.

The My Disney Experience tab is great for storing and updating all our plans in one spot–from hotel reservations to parade times to Fast Passes. Efficient and easy.

I’ll be keeping you all posted on every step of our planning and the trip, so stay tuned for monthly updates, tips, and plans. It’s going to be a huge surprise. I’m glad you’ll be helping me pull it off!

*This post, and the trip, and everything it involves, are 100% sponsored by me. And in full disclosure, I love DisneyWorld and Disneyland from the bottom of my heart.

...by day, making a home where the buffalo roam. By night, pretty much the same thing, punctuated by the occasional fantasies of sunny beaches, italian movies and sparkling lemonade.

I not usually a “commenter”, but I can’t help myself. Wow, Disney, way to market and make someone feel special! Beautiful. I don’t know how you can keep the secret with fun stuff coming thru the mail.

Karen, we are hoping to keep it a secret until we arrive at the Orlando airport and the complimentary charter bus arrives to take us away! We may cave before then, but that’s the plan. They are age 8 and 5.
