How To Get Beautiful For Holiday Photos

Post Sponsored by Olay Regenerist

Beauty might not be top of mind when you think about the holiday season, but it probably should be. I mean, when you get together with so many different groups of people for work and family and church parties, you want to look your best.

Stress (ie bad skin + frizzed out hair) goes hand in hand with said family / work / church parties, and sometimes you’ve got to primp and pamper yourself a little bit to combat the *fun* of the season. Especially if you’re having family photos taken for holiday cards. You want to look all glow-y and shiny (in a good way), your best beautiful face forward and everything.

So how does one get all glow-y and sunshine-y for holiday photos? Well. It all starts on the base layer. Your inner beauty matters first and foremost, but after that, you’ve got to work on your skin. My skin is a train-wreck when I’m stressed, so I have to take extra care of it, especially during the holidays.

I happen to be a very big fan of Olay products of every sort: face wash, face brush, and especially the moisturizer. That one is an absolute daily must for me. The night cream too. I’m getting older by the second (it’s all of a sudden now that I’m in my 30’s; take note young bucks) and I’ve tried a variety of products to see what works and what doesn’t. The night cream helps keep my face moisturized and soft while I sleep. When I wake up my skin feels softer and more refreshed.

I recently tried some Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream on my very train-wrecked facial skin (I’m pre-holiday stressing already) and love it with the fire of a thousand suns.

The Micro-Sculpting Cream is a great moisturizer to use after you cleanse to hydrate dry skin. A few times a week I apply a tiny bit of cream all over my face, leaving softer younger feeling skin. It’s totally amazing, and you should all be doing it, because a base layer of clean, exfoliated skin is just what you need before you put any makeup on that pretty mug of yours for holiday family photos.

What do you like to do to get prepped for holiday photos? I mean, aside from laying out your very best ugly Christmas sweater?

Olay Regenerist is an important part of my get ready routine and helps me look and feel my best beautiful! Visit for more information on their full line of products.
