chalkboard dining room.

Spotted this on Design*Sponge today. I love the unconventional-ness of chalkboard paint in a dining room. I’ve thought many many times about painting a wall outside the kids’ bedrooms in chalkboard paint, but haven’t because I picture chalk dust as a constant companion on the carpet. Has anyone tried it and loved it? Or tried it and hated it? I love the concept. In theory.

I’ve also been tempted by the chalkboard paint, but deterred by the “dust” issue also. I have a perfect wall in my kitchen, but I hesitate. Plus, it doesn’t seem to look nice for very long without frequent cleaning.

I have done the Chalk board paint…i did a big wall in the kids playroom & made a "menu" board for my kitchen…the dust isn't as bad as people think…u do have to give a quick clean after use so it looks fresh…but VERY worth it…my boys LOVE it!

I was thinking about putting this in my kitchen too. I have always been tempted to try it out. It’d be fun to do a small little section of one wall just to see.. anyways, great idea. I love the kitchen in the picture!
