I’m really excited to have a guest blogger this week. Excited because I am completely spent after writing fast and furious for the last several days to meet a freelance deadline, and excited because Aly Brooks from the blog A Little Great is here all week to talk fashion! You know how I love the fashion. I’ll make an appearance every day, but stay tuned for great fashion advice this week.
What to Wear this Spring – Printed Skirts
Spring is nearly upon us. Welcome daffodils, kite flying, apple blossoms… and most of all, fun new fashion options. What could make you feel cuter than a flirty skirt on a sweet Spring day? I love that just-above-the-knee swingy feeling. This season is all about printed skirts. They come in all shapes, sizes, and price points. Here are some I crave:
Tailored and sophisticated, these slimmer cut skirts are light and airy with a classic silhouette. Of course, you can’t go wrong with Kate Spade (A. kate spade ‘garden party – kayla’ skirt $295 at Nordstrom) but you don’t want to have to get a second on your house to support your Spring fashion fix. Instead, opt for the same look for so much less. Try this adorable (B.) Still Life Skirt for only $29.99 from DownEast Basics. I love DownEast’s prints (lots of options) and cuts (flattering) and at these prices, you can afford to follow the trends.
Layered ruffles are in for Spring. I love both these options for their wear-ability. I can see myself donning either to breakfast with my girlfriends or throwing them on over my suit on the way to the pool. Picture these with some darling sandals or wedges (my post on Spring shoes coming soon). Here again are two options, same look, not so similar prices, take your pick! C.
