The next photo shoot I’m doing with my friend Ed is a Vintage Barber Shop commercial. We’re shooting in a barber shop in Salt Lake City that’s been around since the 1950′s. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Here’s my inspiration board for the shoot.
here’s where I found the: Barber Pole, Barber Jacket, Florsheim Wingtip Oxford, Vintage Men’s Eyeglasses, Wool Trousers
Allison
I'm Allison, founder and editor of Petit Elefant. I run the gamut from granola to glamour and love everything in between. I think the beach is always a good idea, as is Diet Dr. Pepper; on ice. Sometimes I put out the fires and sometimes I start them. Sometimes I really do have it all together. Sometimes my children say otherwise. We just like to keep it real around here.
Too bad you don’t have access to my dad’s shop in Idaho. He was a barber for 45 years. Plenty of vintage items there!
Holy cow, are you serious? I can’t even think about that, it’s too painful.
I’m beyond serious. I shouldn’t have brought it up. I’m sorry I caused you so much pain. ;)
Allison, how is it that you are doing these photo shoots? Who initiates them and what happens with the products?
It’s a photographer friend of mine who has private clients. He then hires me to style the shoots. It’s pretty great.
Can I come watch?? Lol.
Ha, wouldn’t that be fun?
Yep! It would!
I think it’s a closed set or I’d invite you to come.
So fabulous Allison! That is a perfect gig for you! :) Way to go.
Thanks Janice, I’m having a blast.
Those pants are hot. I don’t even know what that says about me.
I think so too! I couldn’t help it, we have to use those, they’re H-O-T, hot.
This blog really floats my boat.

Holly, you made my day.
I bet I know which barber shop it is! What a fun place for a photoshoot!
Do you really? I’m so excited about this one, I can’t wait to see the shop.
