Thanks everyone for the kind words about Calvin yesterday. It ended up being a lovely day in its own way.

My friend and her family planted a beautiful flowering Lilac tree at the cemetery next to Calvin’s headstone in the wee hours of the fading light. It was beautiful and quiet, a tribute in its own right. Friends of Calvin left little tributes on his headstone throughout the day; his grave was littered with notes of well wishes, teddy bears, and balloons. He is loved even after passing.

Thank you for all the kindness, it’s very appreciated amidst the sadness.

I love the idea of planting a tree in memory. What a beautiful tribute. My heart goes out to his family!
