natural deep hair conditioner

Say maybe summer was hard on your hair.  And now let’s pretend that since your fall schedule is in full swing you’re ready to give your hair all the TLC it needs.  But let’s pretend for a minute that a} you don’t have time to head to the spa, and b} you’re short on actual cash if you actually managed to get there.

Who’s pretending?  Times are tough ladies, and money doesn’t grow on trees.  You know what does though?

Avocados.

How about some natural deep hair conditioner for those lustrous tresses of yours?  Yes?  Yes.

Here’s what you need:

  • one avocado
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Mix all that up, comb it through your gorgeous hair and cover with a shower cap.  Now turn on your DVR and catch up on Oprah for about 20 minutes while it penetrates deep into your hair follicles.  Once you’re well versed in whatever Tom Cruise scandal is brewing, rinse the conditioner out with tepid water.  Shampoo {you don’t want to smell like avocado forever}, rinse, and you’re all set.

Nice, right?  Natural deep hair conditioner for the price of a cappuccino.

Thanks! Yesterday we had guacamole, but there is still one avocado in the fridge. I’m always hesitant to put “fat” on my fine hair (I have to wash it really often), but I will give it a shot. The links to your earlier posts do not work, can you help with that?

The links are having issues right now, we’re working on it….
