what mothers really want for mother’s day.

As a mother I’m honestly happy if Mother’s Day begins with breakfast in bed {with the newspaper} and some sort of homemade card from the kids, and ends with me in bed by 9 P.M. Flowers are always nice from V, but at this point I’ll take what I can get. That’s not to say I haven’t been making a list of all sorts of lovely things I’d like come Sunday morning. Here are a couple of ideas for yourself or the mother{s} on your list.

Wishing Well.
$40
{via Zinke Design}.

The Wishing Well by Zinke Design is such a clever idea for new moms. The front holds a spot for a photo of the babe and inside are a pen and 150 4″x6″ note cards for well wishes from loved ones. I absolutely love it.

Amber Luxe Candle
{via Paddywax}.
20 oz. glass.
$36.

I’m one of those people who loves a hot bath with a candle & a good read. It makes me feel relaxed just thinking about it. These luxe candles from Paddywax give you 100 hours of burn time and I absolutely adore the design on the glass. It’s enough to make you feel pampered even if your kids are banging on the bathroom door while you soak. Happy Mother’s Day.
