The 4th of July is my favorite holiday, period. There isn’t a time of year I love more than summer, and the fact that there’s a holiday smack dab in the middle of it doesn’t hurt. I love that the 4th of July includes eating your weight in watermelon, having parades in the middle of the street, and hosting afternoon BBQs before shooting fireworks off into the dark.
The 4th of July is completely magical from dawn to dusk, and I’m totally on that gravy train.
If you’re eating gluten-free this holiday I’ve got a great recipe for you. A very patriotic American flag cake with fresh strawberries and blueberries and not a smidgen of gluten in sight. If you choose to make a cake, use a gluten-free recipe but if you’d like to use a red or blue jell-o you’re gluten-free!
See what I did there? Home free, gluten-free? I’m a maniac.
How do you celebrate July 4th?
– I just started a discussion over at the Udi’s community about what gluten-free treats you’ll eat on this 4th of July. What do you eat as a gluten-free treat on holidays? –
I am nosy and was wondering…is the gluten free/vegan thing working well for you? Helping you to feel a bit better?
